2. Green Skills' Role in Achieving SDGs :-
"Green skills" refer to the abilities, knowledge, and competencies needed to perform in an environmentally conscious manner across various professional domains.
Role in Achieving SDGs :
Fostering Innovation: Green skills encourage eco-innovation in industries. For instance, engineers with green skills might design products that use fewer natural resources or are fully recyclable.
Creating Sustainable Communities: Urban planners with green skills can design cities that reduce pollution, promote public transportation, and utilize green infrastructure.
Promoting Responsible Consumption: Marketing professionals with green skills can create campaigns that educate consumers about sustainable products and lifestyles.
Protecting Natural Ecosystems: Biologists and conservationists with green skills work to restore ecosystems, ensuring biodiversity and the health of life below water and on land.
By fostering and integrating green skills into various professional sectors, we can accelerate progress towards achieving the SDGs and create a more sustainable future for all.
